Ethanolamine, also known as 2-aminoethanol, 2-hydroxyethylamine, monoethanolamine or monoethanolamine, English abbreviation ETA or MEA, chemical formula C2H7NO, is a primary amine organic compound. It is hygroscopic, toxic, flammable and corrosive. [1] It is found in phospholipids and coexists with choline, so ethanolamine is also called choline.
