Calcium chloride, composed of chlorine and calcium, chemical formula CaCl2, is a typical ionic halide. It is a white solid at room temperature and its aqueous solution is neutral. Calcium chloride is often used in salt water for refrigeration equipment, road ice melting agents and desiccant. Due to its easy absorption and delixing in air [5], anhydrous calcium chloride should be stored in sealed containers. Calcium chloride and its hydrates and solutions have important applications in many fields such as food manufacturing, building materials, medicine and biology.
